What is Conveyancing?


Conveyancing is the legal process of transferring the ownership of a property from one person to another. And if you are buying, it is also the process of making sure that you get what you think you are buying – a comprehensive check. If you are selling, likewise, it is the process of complying with all of your obligations to satisfy the buyer, your Bank, and ensuring that you sell effectively.

If you want to buy or sell a home, land or investment property you’ll have to sign a contract. The legal work involved in preparing the sales contract, mortgage and other related documents, is called conveyancing.
